Can you motivate children? Do you enjoy
books and reading? Then why not help
with this year's Summer Reading
Challenge run by ESCC libraries
department. The year the challenge
called Space Hop is all about
encouraging primary age children to take
up reading and helpers are required to
issue books, fill in the challenge cards
and give out rewards on completion as
well as talk to the children and find
out what they enjoyed about the books.
Opportunities exist in Eastbourne,
Lewes, Battle, Heathfield, Forrest Row,
Langley, Hampden Park, Seaford,
Peacehaven, Bexhill and Rye. Hours can
be arranged to suit your availability
and holidays and you can do from 2 hours
to 20 hours per week. The challenge
starts from the beginning of the school
holidays and a short induction training
will be arranged a few weeks prior to
this so put your name down now if you
are interested in taking part in this
rewarding and fun opportunity which is
especially good for anyone thinking of
