Vinvolved Annual Celebration Event, March 2010
Volunteers from all over East Sussex came ready
to sing along to John Travolta and Olivia Newton
John when they attended vinvolved’s
Celebration event at Hailsham Old Pavilion
Cinema where the Youth Action Team had organised
a fab buffet and a private screening of
“Grease”. The old cinema has been lovingly
restored and is now run by volunteers so it was
a fitting venue for our awards ceremony. Put
together by a group of volunteers from Hastings,
a slide show presentation gave the Deputy Mayor
of Hailsham an insight into all the valuable
work carried out by our young volunteers and
really impressed him. The Deputy Mayor of
Hailsham presented the v50 awards and team
manager Kate Robson presented the Impact award
as well as prizes for the best male and best
female dressed in the style of the movie.

National Trust
" I regularly volunteer at my local National
Trust property. I help out: in the house and
answer the questions of visitors; on children
activity days; and at other events that the
property puts on. I really enjoy the work and I
have learnt a lot about the history of the
property. It is very rewarding to spend my time
doing this and I highly recommend this to anyone
who is interested in history. "
